Description

The Weinert lab at the Pennsylvania State University is recruiting two Postdoctoral Scholars on the globin coupled sensor and/or 2', 3'-cyclic nucleotide projects. Depending on the project, techniques will include protein expression/characterization, bacterial strain manipulation/assays, heme spectroscopy, MS-based metabolite analysis, and/or organic synthesis. Applicants ideally will have experience in one or more of these areas. Candidate must submit/upload a letter of interest, along with CV, a brief description of career goals, and the names and contact information for three scientific/professional references. This position requires a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in a scientific discipline. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled. The positions are available starting as early as July (after the lab has moved to PSU).
