Description

Penn State New Kensington is seeking a part-time Athletics Recruiting Coordinator. Responsible to the Director of Athletics and working with the Office of Admissions, the Athletics Recruiting Coordinator will organize a comprehensive recruiting program for the Penn State New Kensington Department of Athletics in accordance with University, USCAA, and PSUAC policies, rules and regulations. Job duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with the overall organization and management of the athletic recruiting process, serving as the primary recruiting contact in the athletics department to assist all intercollegiate part-time head coaches to maximize roster sizes, identifying and attracting qualified prospective students through various methods including high school visits, outreach to coaches, and recruiting databases, employing various social media platforms to market and attract prospective student-athletes, serving as the liaison between campus coaches and admissions and helping to coordinate campus visits, representing the athletic department at admissions events and open houses, and serving as game day manager at designated home events. Bachelor’s degree and successful recruiting experience at the collegiate level is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete and to the highest of ethical standards. On occasion, this position may require the operation of a motor vehicle; consequently, a valid driver`s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to background checks.
