Description

Penn State Berks is accepting applications for a Transfer Admissions Counselor who will work closely with the Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions. Primary responsibilities will include representing Penn State Berks at community college/articulation partner transfer fairs, meeting with prospective transfer students one on one to assist them with the admissions process, and manually processing and reviewing transfer applications for Berks College majors. The Transfer Counselor will be involved with the maintenance of articulation agreements with partner schools, and the cultivation of new partnerships, working closely with colleagues in Penn State Berks’ Office of Academic Affairs. The person in this role will need to work some weekends and evenings and may be asked to assist the First Year Admissions Counselors and the Director of Enrollment Management with various projects, programs, and events as is needed. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong communication and inter-personal skills, be capable of learning new technology and processes in a fast-paced work environment, have strong problem-solving skills, and be passionate and enthusiastic about working with students. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
