Description

A Postdoctoral Scholar position is available immediately in the Department of Pharmacology at Penn State College of Medicine. The individual should be creative and highly motivated with expertise in cancer biology. The trainee will utilize cell culture and animal models to evaluate cancer chemo- preventive/therapeutic efficacy, pharmacology, and mechanism of action of novel small drug-like molecules. A PhD in biological sciences (molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry) is required. Skills and knowledge in cell culture, laboratory animal handling, and HPLC operation is preferred. Applicant should have the ability to work in a collaborative work environment. An initial appointment will be full-time for a 12 month period. Renewal of the appointment will be contingent upon the performance.
