The Office of Physical Plant is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Planner to be a part of the team planning and scheduling the maintenance of a variety of utilities systems and assets. This individual will be responsible for planning new systems projects, routine maintenance needs, preventive maintenance programs, and all other work activities using Maximo as the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Utilities Maintenance Planner will perform maintenance project needs including, but not limited to: initial job screening, evaluating customer requirements, creating detailed work plans, assembling planned job packages, labor deployment by craft and skill, generation of itemized bills of material, and facilitate and acquisition plan. Planners will scope and prepare estimates, process purchase requests, initiate required permits, provide prints, sketches, photos, special procedures, specifications, sizes, tolerances, and other technical references. This position will provide project and work order specifications for either internal and external labor resources, depending on the scope of work. This position will work with: all facets of utilities services, Engineering Services, Design Services, Buildings and Grounds, Procurement Services, and others. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Building Code certification in one or more disciplines preferred. 30-hour OSHA certification preferred. Strong computer skills are essential. Prior experience with a CMMS is preferred. Excellent communication and collaborative work skills required. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background check.
