The Student Engagement Network (SEN) is seeking a Graduate Assistant to provide support for the network and its various programs. This is a half-time position for fall 2019 and spring 2020 with an excellent possibility for renewal in summer 2020. All candidates must be enrolled as a graduate student at Penn State. This position will assist SEN staff with data analytics and reports pertaining to various programs, most specifically, the SEN grant program (i.e. examining trends and results of the grant applicant demographics and assessment modalities). The graduate assistant will collaborate with SEN staff and interns on the design and development of the SEN portal, including data extraction and analysis, research strategies and methodologies, reports and presentations, website content, social media strategy, and the implementation of programming and events. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work well independently and as an integral part of our team, strives to produce quality and accurate reports, and is willing to explore and develop creative new processes to improve the overall network. The successful candidate will need to possess strong communication and presentation skills, experience with organizing and interpreting large amounts of data, and the ability to create info graphics and presentations. Proficiency in Qualtrics, Excel, and InfoReady are highly recommended. The Student Engagement Network is a joint initiative between Undergraduate Education, Student Affairs, and Outreach and Online Education. The mission of the Student Engagement Network is to advance the power of participation by connecting students with experiences that empower them to make a positive impact as citizens and leaders of the world.
