A Postdoctoral position is available to investigate lipid metabolism in cells and in vivo, focused on lipid mediators as signaling molecules and on the dynamic transport of lipid molecules in cells and in vivo in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University. The successful candidate will have a PhD in biochemistry, nutrition, pharmacology, or a related discipline, and experience in laboratory research, including expertise with UPLC analysis, mass spectrometry, cell culture, growth assays, and protein/proteomic analysis. Expertise with image analysis software and statistical packages is preferred. The candidate must have a record of making research presentations at professional conferences and of publishing in the international scientific literature. The successful candidate is expected to have a demonstrated interest in lipid metabolism, including the metabolism of fatty acids and lipid mediators, and a willingness to work with small animals.
