The Penn State Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania seeks a basic Science Researcher with expertise in Cannabinoid Studies for a tenured faculty position at the Research Associate level. The candidate is expected to conduct independent and collaborative basic science/translational research, and eventually provide leadership to a highly productive multidisciplinary research program. The candidate would also have the opportunity to perform collaborative research and is required to apply for funding. Requirements for the position include a doctoral degree and an academic record of peer-reviewed publications in which they are a primary/senior author, and evidence of participation in relevant academic or professional meetings. Preference will be given to a track record of extramural funding from federal agencies, commensurate to the stage of a candidate's professional development. The College of Medicine provides excellent Core facilities as well as staff support in grants administration, statistical programming, data management, research computing. Opportunities also exist for joint appointments in other College of Medicine departments and at the University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.
