Description

A Research Technologist 1 position is open immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas Spratt, in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Penn State College of Medicine. The Spratt Lab uses chemical approaches to study mechanisms of DNA damage and the cellular DNA damage response. Primary duties will involve biochemical experiments including studying enzyme kinetics and protein purification. A background in biochemistry or chemistry is necessary. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
