Education Strategy and Planning Manager

Penn State’s World Campus located in University Park, PA is seeking a motivated, flexible, and team-oriented person to serve as a Program Manager within Program Planning and Management. As a Program Manager you will: manage World Campus programs by providing leadership for program teams comprised of academic partners and World Campus representatives; collaborate with academic departments and colleges; and work closely with the Directors of Academic Affairs on the exploration and review of new degree and certificate program ideas. This job will be filled as a level 1, or level 2, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 1. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Master's degree preferred for all levels. Competencies critical to success include: demonstrated project management experience; ability to work in fast-paced environment; knowledge of academic requirements for programming and curriculum; strong verbal and written communication skills; negotiation and strategic planning skills; commitment to high quality academic programming; and effective decision-making based on data.
