Description

Penn State Greater Allegheny is looking for an Enrollment Services Specialist 3 to be responsible for advising students in Associate degree programs and recruiting students (traditional, non-traditional, transfer, and international) to Penn State Greater Allegheny. Primary responsibilities include counseling prospective students and families regarding eligibility requirements, academic offerings and campus life; responding to inquiries/request via phone, email, and meetings, both in-person and virtual; advising and supporting students through their transition from admissions to degree candidates; serving as primary advisor for all students in Associate degree programs; delivering presentations for enrollment events for prospective and current students; creating and implementing presentations and outreach initiatives targeted to specific populations; managing designated territory through communication with guidance counselors, community-based organizations, and other educational stakeholders; accessing and analyzing reports for application follow-up to direct outreach to students with active applications; utilizing queries from LionPath to track applicants through various stages of the admissions and cycle; monitoring student progress in degree programs through LionPath and Starfish; and reviewing and editing communications across multiple platforms (internal and external emails, presentations) for consistency and accuracy. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in a K-12 setting is strongly preferred. This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Additionally, a valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required.
