The Center for NMR Research (CNMRR) in the Department of Radiology at Penn State College of Medicine invites applications for a MRI physicist postdoctoral position. This is an NIH funded research project that will involve in development of ultra-high dielectric devices for radiofrequency field (RF) engineering for MRI and functional MRI applications. A PhD in electric engineering, computer science, or physics is required. The ideal candidates should have at least two-year hands-on experiences in radiofrequency (RF) field engineering such as computer modeling of RF electromagnetic field and RF coil constructions. However, candidates with background in optics, electromagnetic field modeling or dielectrics, and an interest in establishing a new career in human brain imaging are encouraged to apply. There will be other opportunities for the postdoctoral fellow to collaborate and pursue one’s own program of research. The position will also provide opportunities for diverse research experiences in a highly collegial environment at both the College of Medicine campus at Hershey and the University Park campus. The successful candidate will join a growing laboratory fostering cross-disciplinary collaborative research throughout the University. Candidates should upload a curriculum vitae and contact information for three references. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.
