Description

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, is seeking an Assistant Director of Marketing Services to join its team of skilled, creative communicators. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Communications, the Assistant Director will develop content and oversee the production of marketing programs and materials that support the college’s admissions, academic, and student affairs functions; execute the college’s advertising program; create messaging, manage the production of ad materials, and schedule and disseminate electronic and print materials; and develop communications and materials for college events, development activities, and special initiatives. A bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience in higher education marketing communications preferred. The successful candidate will be a strong writer; have experience developing communications for a range of purposes and channels; be capable of a high degree of multi-tasking; have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; demonstrate good judgment, and take a customer-centered, problem-solving approach to work. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with an excellent possibility of re-funding.
