Description

The laboratories of Drs. Jean-Paul Armache and Song Tan in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Penn State University seek Postdoctoral Scholars to investigate the structure and function of chromatin complexes using cryo-EM. The Armache and Tan laboratories are part of the Penn State Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation comprised of 10 chromatin research groups. Penn State offers state-of-the-art cryo-EM facilities including Titan Krios with Gatan K2/FEI Falcon 3EC direct detectors and Volta phase plate. Recent Ph.D. recipients with a strong track record of accomplishment in biochemistry and/or biophysics are encouraged to apply. Experience with baculovirus expression is desirable but not required.
