Provide consultative and specialized assistance to faculty, staff, and students in the use of computer hardware and software for the College of Health and Human Development. Provide support for users in a mixed operating system environment (75% Windows, 25% Mac). Identify, prioritize, and resolve hardware, software, network and printing problems. Review, evaluate, and test hardware and software and build system images for deployment on new and existing computers. Must have knowledge of and experience with providing remote support using telephone, e-mail, chat, and common remote support tools (Remote Desktop, Dameware, and Team Viewer), Microsoft Windows 8.1 and 10, Mac OS, Office365, Networking, and Direct Attached Storage. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Bigfix, JAMF, Active Directory, Sysprep, Digital Signage, AV systems and software packages such as SAS and Matlab are a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are necessary, as is the ability to work well both independently and with a team. The ability to make sound decisions independently is a must. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
