The Computing and Networks Division of the Applied Research Laboratory is seeking undergraduate students to work across a variety of information technology disciplines including, but not limited to: computing support, networking, systems administration, helpdesk support, and cybersecurity. Typical duties will include: end-user support; technical writing; assisting with installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and support of computing and network hardware and software; assisting in the development of process and equipment documentation; assisting with equipment inventory and auditing; assisting with cybersecurity initiatives; assisting with programming and software development tasks; and HDD destruction. Students studying Information Science and Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in technical support roles, including: configuration, installation, and support of network equipment as well as programming is desired. The successful candidate will have good communication, technical writing, and organization skills. Experience supporting the following: Microsoft Windows systems in a domain environment, Mac OS X and iOS, and Linux is also desired. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week over the summer. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
