Description

A Postdoctoral position is immediately available with the Penn State UAS Research Laboratory (PURL) in the Aerospace Engineering Department at Penn State University, with Eric N. Johnson as Director. Candidates with extensive expertise and demonstrated accomplishments in the following area(s) are encouraged to apply. Requirements include: adaptive and fault-tolerant control theory and practice, real-time estimation and sensor fusion theory and practice; emphasis on use of vision sensors and SLAM; effective communication of results through conferences and journals. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Engineering or related fields. Knowledge and experience in developing and testing estimation systems and controllers and programming is required. Prior experience mentoring/teaching graduate students is desired.
