Penn State Human Resources, Talent Acquisition-PT, is seeking a Human Resources Associate to provide administrative support to our team. Responsibilities will include providing customer service to our applicants, hiring units, and stakeholders university-wide and administrative human resources functions with a heavy emphasis on data entry of new hire information and job changes for part-time staff, faculty, and graduate assistants in our Human Capital Management system, Workday. The successful candidate must demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information; attention to detail; commitment to addressing questions and concerns with speed, accuracy and professionalism; and sound judgment and discretion in referring inquiries to other HR staff members or units. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; strong customer service skills; speed and accuracy in data entry; a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality; the ability to effectively learn and utilize new technologies, a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. The ability to develop positive relationships with peers, hiring managers, and employees is essential.
