Description

Penn State's Office of University Development is seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator 3 (Development Assistant) for Penn State Altoona. This position reports directly to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Penn State Altoona. This position is responsible for working with the Development team on the organization and execution of fundraising programs and related activities at the college. The individual will assist in the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of donors; assist in developing fundraising plans for prospects; serve as a liaison with University Development and Penn State Altoona; assist with planning and implementing on- and off-campus cultivation events; and assist in the development and production of communication tools, proposals, stewardship materials and reports. Duties also include taking minutes during meetings, such as Philanthropic Council meetings and staff meetings, and compiling action items; arranging travel and processing travel reimbursements through ERS; composing and editing correspondence; preparing fundraising progress reports; and other duties as assigned. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with University systems and forms, such as eSteward, AWA, IBM Notes, and IBIS is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. The successful candidate must have exemplary oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organization skills. A high level of confidentiality, an ability to work in a team environment, and a genuine appreciation for working with diverse audiences is required.
