Description

The Department of Public Health Sciences (DPHS) is seeking to hire a Proposal and Award Generalist II (PAG II). This team member’s primary responsibility will be to assist the pre-award and post-award teams within the DPHS in support of grant submissions and award management. With guidance and direction from the PAG V, the PAG II will review funding opportunities, develop documents for grant proposals, provide information to college departments/units, and manage faculty biosketches and grant support documents. The PAG II will also assist and support the post award team with establishing research accounts and preparing initial budgets, as well as preparing financial reports for annual and final progress reports, carryover requests and other required deliverables. In addition, the PAG II will assist the post award team with developing and maintaining a database for tracking financial and reporting data for extramural funds. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with grant preparation and research fund administration preferred. This includes familiarity with creating or managing budgets and knowledge of federal grant administration procedures and guidelines. The successful candidate will be a self-started who is conscientious and detailed focused. They must have the ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines, and work with a variety of people across departments, campuses and universities. Effective written and verbal communication is key. Candidates must have a desire to attend training and collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement best practices in research administration. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding
