Description

Assist the Bipolar Research Group (under Dr. Saunders and Dr. Mukherjee) within the Department of Psychiatry with research projects. Duties include: recruit and schedule subjects/participants for visits; maintain subject/participant database, order/organize lab materials; conduct data collection, monitor incoming data for accuracy; troubleshoot for technical problems/maintain protocol integrity; monitor safety and confidentiality of project and subjects/participants; assist PIs with Institutional Review Board amendments, continuations, and renewals; code and score observational data; ensure data is scored and entered correctly and reconciled per PI guidelines; maintain lab equipment. Conduct participant interviews, administer assessments/rating scales, perform actigraphy, phlebotomy, specimen processing as well as EEG and fMRI data collection and processing. Three primary research projects ongoing include Dietary Intervention for Bipolar Disorder, Examining Maternal Depression and Reward Responsiveness and Examining Inflammatory, Neural and Behavioral Markers of Anhedonia in Major Depressive Disorder This job will be filled as a level 1, or level 2, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 1. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Bachelor's degree in psychology/neuroscience and SPSS, MATLAB, R, and REDCap knowledge/experience preferred. Candidate should have experience working in research labs. Experience with coding, EEG and fMRI imaging analysis a bonus. Own transportation required to travel to affiliated research sites. This jobs requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Applicants with flexibility in work hours preferred due to research participant recruitment needs (some evening hours may be needed). This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
