Coordinator of Pre-Admission and Re-Enrollment Review/Case Manager/Investigator. This position has primary responsibility for evaluating and investigating those applicants for admission or re-enrollment to all of the campuses of The Pennsylvania State University who answered affirmatively regarding prior disciplinary and/or criminal history. The Coordinator is responsible for data management and reporting; assisting in reviewing and revising policies and procedures; creating and facilitating trainings/presentations; consulting with a broad cross-section of institutional and community stakeholders regarding student conduct issues at large as well as specific criminal/disciplinary issues and treatment resources, including the Office of the University Registrar, Undergraduate Admissions Office, Graduate School Admissions, Commonwealth Campus Directors of Student Affairs, World Campus Admissions and Student Affairs; leading or serving on committees; and representing the Office of Student Conduct (OSC) as directed. As a conduct case manager, this person will interpret and enforce the Student Code of Conduct; typically manage minor to moderate conduct cases; and assign and monitor conduct sanctions. This person will also support the OSC’s Investigator with investigations related to alleged violations of the Code of Conduct, including, but not limited to, incidents involving bullying, hazing and physical assaults. This may also include participating in University Conduct Board hearings, providing testimony related to the investigation of the incident, and, when necessary, traveling to campuses as directed to conduct investigations at those locations. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with various levels of faculty, staff, students, and outside agencies; an outstanding customer service orientation; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical, judgment, and organization skills; and, the ability to work with a variety of persons of varying cultures and backgrounds. This is a fixed-term appointment funded through June 30, 2020 with excellent possibility of re-funding.
