Description

Continuing Education has an opening for a part-time Education Program Support Assistant working a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays, for 20 hours per week. This position will primarily perform administrative support duties for the Continuing Education department. Responsibilities may include: assist in coordination of budget preparation, monitor budgets, budget projections, analyze data; process course/program registrations; create and update web pages; assist instructors with program materials and course/classroom scheduling; oversee the creation and distribution of program marketing materials; assist in the administration of testing, information sessions, open house; process course/program registrations; provide routine program logistics/maintain requirements or activities/evaluate programs to ensure quality of programs; create reports and program documentation; greet visitors; process and distribute campus mail. Typically requires an Associate`s degree or higher plus five plus years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have exceptional computer skills including data entry, mail merge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality, coordinate several projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks. In addition, the individual will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented, capable of self-management, and excellent judgment and problem-solving skills. Ideally, the candidate will have a comprehensive understanding or working knowledge of professional/workforce development and community outreach.
