Description

The Penn Stater magazine seeks an experienced Managing Editor to oversee the bimonthly publication process; edit and proof-read copy; conceive, assign, and edit features; and write for the magazine and its website. Organization and attention to detail are essential. The Penn Stater is an 80- to 96-page bimonthly magazine for the 174,000 members of the Penn State Alumni Association, the largest dues-paying alumni association in the United States. The staff is creative, collaborative, and committed to producing one of the best magazines of its kind. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Magazine experience strongly preferred. The successful candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal skills and demonstrate a genuine appreciation in working with diverse audiences.
