The Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral scholar to work on distributed and stochastic optimization and equilibrium problems. The research team has ongoing research in the area of stochastic, risk-averse, and distributed optimization with application interests in power systems and markets and potentially to machine learning. The project will involve the analysis and solution of a broad class of problems with a particular accent on competition and uncertainty. Qualifications: we are seeking candidates with a strong record in control and optimization theory with a particular interest in the analysis of problems complicated by the presence of a networked structure and uncertainty.
