Description

Chemical Engineering is looking for several students to assist in setting up, running, and writing SOPS and manuals for new Unit Operations Lab experiments, as well as assisting in the move from Thomas to CBEB (Chemical & Biomedical Engineering Building) of some existing equipment. Skills required include: must be comfortable with hands-on work, good lab work techniques, creativity, and good writing skills. Must have completed at least ChE330 and ChE320. Preferred completion of ChE350 and ChE410 also. The work will continue until it is done. Pay is $12.00 per hour and can expect to work approximately 20 hours per week. Experiments that will need work over the summer are distillation (old and new), adsorption, absorption, cstr/batch (new), PFR, new process control unit, Steam heat exchanger-setting up from scratch data acquisition.
