Description

The Penn State Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) is seeking a highly motivated intern to research and write news releases, annual report articles and media alerts; help to maintain the Institute’s social media presence (Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn), shoot photos and assist in special events. Strong candidates will be self-starters with strong written and verbal communication skills who are reliable, flexible and organized and who demonstrate attention to detail and an interest in the social and behavioral sciences. The internship is open to rising juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students majoring in journalism, public relations or a related field. Capability with Microsoft Office, Adobe’s Creative Suite and familiarity with social media platforms is essential. This position may be up to 20 hours/week with a flexible schedule with the possibility of continuing for additional semesters.
