Description
The Department of History, Department of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies, and the Jewish Studies Program invites applications for an Administrative Support Assistant (ASA) to assist in managing a broad range of administrative activities. The successful candidate will have a broad variety of responsibilities including greeting customers and visitors, handling routine requests, ordering office supplies, assisting with events, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, ensuring the office is compliant with records management policies, and directing, screening, reviewing, and processing mail and phone communications. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with University systems like IBIS and WorkLion/Workday is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of University policies and procedures is preferred but not required. This position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as well as professionalism and excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position requires a flexible individual who is both a leader and a team player. Proficiency with standard computer applications and programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
