Description

Penn State Human Resources is seeking a Human Resources Consultant to support The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications. As part of a team of HR Consultants that support the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST), the College of Communications, the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR), and The Graduate School, the incumbent will also partner with the College of IST and OVPR/The Graduate School HR Consultants to provide consistent HR service across all four units. This position will directly support approximately 120 individuals and indirectly support over 1,800 individuals in full-time and part-time faculty, staff, technical service, postdoctoral, and graduate appointments. The incumbent will coordinate a wide variety of human resources activities for the College across multiple human resource functions including: employee relations, equal opportunity, organizational development, talent management and acquisition, total rewards, and compliance monitoring. In addition, this position will provide guidance and advice to managers, supervisors, and other employees on HR related issues. This position, reporting to a Human Resource Strategic Partner, operates with discretion within established guidelines. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
