The Office of Physical Plant is seeking a Business Process Analyst that will support the new Project Management Information System (PMIS) as a functional administrator. The successful candidate will focus on initial implementation support and future improvement of the PMIS (e-Builder). They will work closely with internal departments to understand the system needs and work closely with the subject matter experts to modify the system to meet the business function when necessary. Essential functions of the position are: the ability to configure software as defined by user needs and requirements; develop and maintain role-based training documentation; provide training to end users both internal and external to Penn State, maintain familiarity with software; assist in analyzing processes and identify necessary improvements; diagnose and resolve problems; maintain user access and security; provide function and specialized support to end users. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering is preferred. Certifications, a plus. The preferred candidate should have strong customer service skills, knowledge of e-Builder, or a similar PMIS, including the impact and changes to business processes, in-depth knowledge of design, construction and operation of capital facility projects, the ability to comprehend functions and capabilities of emerging technologies and identify and prioritize the benefits to the business, knowledge of collaborative computer systems for the purpose of delivering training in person, in a web-based platform, or pre-recorded sessions, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills. Prior experience with a project management information system or a similar functioning system is required.
