Description

Career Services is seeking a student to assist in managing the Penn State Career Services social media accounts. Responsibilities will include researching social media best practices, creating social content, posting to social channels, reviewing analytics, and helping to develop social goals and strategy. Some of the job duties may include: crafting social media messages, taking photos or video for posts, creating infographics, developing ideas for social media campaigns, scheduling posts, and adhering to a social media calendar. Experience in Hootsuite is preferred. Applicants should have experience working with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for a club or other organization. The candidate will be expected to work closely with Student Affairs Communications and Marketing and Career Services staff. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with social networking sites, experience with writing and digital analytics is a plus. The applicant must be dependable, outgoing, self-motivated, organized, and demonstrate attention to detail. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. This is a paid 10-15 hour per week position for fall 2019 with the possibility of continuing for additional semesters.
