Description

The Penn State Cancer Institute (Cancer Institute) is recruiting for an Administrative Support Coordinator 3. This position will oversee, coordinate and manage three Cancer Institute programs (Cancer Control, Experimental Therapeutics and Mechanisms of Carcinogenesis). Specific duties include coordinating and attending meetings/retreat, development of agendas, recording/maintaining accurate/proficient minutes, establishing and setting up ad hoc committees and maintaining up-to-date membership information; and obtaining, developing and distributing newsletters and other program materials. The position will also support five shared resources (Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Flow Cytometry, Metabolomics, Organic Synthesis and Genome Sciences). Specific duties include coordinating and attending meetings, preparing and distributing agenda, recording/maintaining accurate/proficient minutes, establishing and setting up ad hoc committees and maintaining up-to-date membership information. Position will be the key lead to monitor timely completion of assigned tasks. Successful candidate will also support the programs and shared resources in their assignments related to the Cancer Center Support Grant submission for NCI-designation. Responsibilities include monitoring timely completion of assigned tasks and assisting with formatting and completion of sections related to the programs and shared resources. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded one year from the date of hire with the possibility of re-funding.
