Description

The Product and Process Design Department of the Applied Research Laboratory is seeking undergraduate students to design and assemble small, unmanned rotorcraft. Typical duties will include: develop control systems and implement on rotorcraft; develop test plans and conduct flight tests to verify design and control law correctness, using modeling and simulation in the design and test preparation process; develop modeling and simulation algorithms and implement in code for use by the team; prepare reports on results of testing; and give presentations on results to sponsors. Students studying Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
