Description

The Humanities Institute (HI) is seeking a Graduate Assistant (GA) to help with planning, social media, and program organization. The position is an 18-week, Grade 12, half-time Graduate Assistantship (20 hours per week) for the Fall 2019 semester with the possibility of renewal in Spring 2020 with successful performance. All applicants must be currently enrolled as graduate students. The successful candidate will work with the HI team in planning, organizing and publicizing its events. This will include working with social media (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube, etc.) with a particular focus on engaging the work of the HI in conversation with the University community and beyond; post monthly events and descriptions to University and local news outlets; and edit website(s) as needed (including design and coding as skills permit). In general, the GA will serve as a general support person for the activities of the Institute.
