The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences’ John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering is seeking a Records Specialist. This position serves as the point of contact for the Department’s five undergraduate programs. The successful candidate will request final exam scheduling, events, and courses and change course characteristics such as controls and enrollment limits utilizing LionPath. Organize, compile, and file SRTE (Student Rating of Teaching Effectiveness) forms. Copy and file course proposals to send to the Faculty Senate. Maintain change of grade forms and administrative course cancellation forms; add/drop courses for students; order textbooks and desk copies for professors. Attend TOTEMS (orientation program for first-year Earth and Mineral Sciences students) and manage departmental annual undergraduate orientation. Maintain New Student Orientation (NSO) roster for the department and schedule faculty to meet with students during NSO. Utilize LionPath data to create student listings. Manipulate degree audits, certify students to graduate, and attend graduation ceremonies. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of and experience with LionPath, and Curriculum@psu.edu is preferred.
