The Operational Business Analyst lead is a member of the WorkLion Management Office (WMO), responsible for day-to-day operational activities related to the Workday Human Capital Management and Payroll system. This position involves the supervision of a team of Level 2 Business Process Analysts, triaging inquiries coming in to the WMO through the WorkLion portal and managing and assigning work in the various operational areas; managing the team's payroll processing support; and ensuring completion of on-going data and operational system updates. The person in this role will lead analyze/diagnosing and problem-solving efforts related to operational issues, coordinating the assessment of the problem and developing action plans for resolving issues. The successful candidate will develop and implement operational procedures for ongoing items, audits, and inquiry response; maintain documentation and standards for operational activities; as well as analyze data and provide regular reports on operational activities. This individual will coordinate data auditing, analysis, and clean-up, identifying areas in the Workday system in need of data clean-up, organizing efforts and assigning work related to clean-up activity, and developing plans for ongoing data auditing and correction. The successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with key WMO stakeholders to understand operational needs and provide appropriate WMO support, including partnering on the selection and training of Workday superusers with HR Shared Services. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The preferred candidate will have experience working in Human Resources and supervising a small team. Key competencies for success in this position include the ability to thrive in a team-based environment and understand the inter-dependencies for all Workday functional areas. Additionally, understanding and performing elements of standard project management methodology is strongly desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR, payroll, IT and other stakeholder groups are desired.
