The College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking a Facilities Representative to assist in the management of Farm Residence Properties and Ag Progress Days site. Duties to include: Oversee and coordinate general grounds maintenance, residence maintenance and safety. Assess and provide accurate estimates for renovations/repairs/improvements. Responsible for purchasing expendable supplies. Coordinate with contracted companies, OPP, and/or part-time employee on repairs to facilities, grounds and equipment. Oversees application of pesticides for the site. Assist Manager of Ag Progress Days on show planning and potential exhibitors. Assist in generation of residential leases. Knowledgably coordinate and assist in various trainings (safety trainings, equipment operations, new hire training, etc.). Provides supervision to part-time and student employee(s). Performs other duties as assigned. Must be resourceful, innovative and flexible to work across the college, university and community members. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Centre Region Code regulations and OSHA standards is preferable. Applicants with experience in farm/facilities operations preferred. Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to the above duties, and effectiveness to work independently is required as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. A Pesticide Applicators License in category 18 is required within 90 days of hire. Additional regulatory certifications may be applicable. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
