Description

Penn State Hazleton is seeking Student Orientation Leaders for Summer/Fall 2019. Orientation Leaders are responsible for helping new students transition to University life during the New Student Orientation program in the summer and Move-in/Welcome Weekend activities in the Fall. These paid student wage payroll employees will complete a leadership course and training period prior to assuming the following duties: Establish positive, helping relationships with new students, making them aware of leader availability and role in the transition to Penn State. Familiarize students with the programs and services available to them. Work effectively with new students to help them develop a sense of connectedness to Penn State Hazleton. Assist in the delivery of the programs and services offered through New Student Orientation and/or Welcome Weekend. Students must be a good steward of Penn State Hazleton. Selected student applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and should live within a commutable distance in order to attend training and New Student Orientation dates.
