Description

The Attention and Behavior Clinic in the Department of Psychiatry is seeking a classroom teacher for an investigational medicine study for the treatment of ADHD in medically healthy adults ages 18 to 60. The effects of the medication on attention and impulse control are being tested in a simulated workplace setting where participants will complete timed math assessments multiple times during the day. The primary duties consist of administering and scoring timed math tests. Work hours will be approximately an 8-hour day on Saturday, June 3th and approximately an 18 hour day on Saturday, June 15th with all work occurring at the Penn State Health Medical Group Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, 22 Northeast Drive, Hershey, PA. All-day new hire orientation and at least one additional training will be needed prior to these days. Teaching experience at the middle school or high school level is desired but formal teaching certification is not required. Prior experience with clinical research is also desired but not required. Compensation is an hourly rate of $25 to $40 based on experience and qualifications.
