Facilities Project Manager

Responsible for project management of building renovations, alterations, major maintenance, and new construction projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with internal/external design and construction resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet the University’s standard of quality and safety. Maintain awareness of project safety concerns and potential violations. Participate in project close-outs, the evaluation of design professionals and construction contractors, and the review and approval of payment applications plus change orders. This job will be filled as a level 1, or level 2, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, Management or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 1. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Must be licensed or credentialed to gain licensure in architecture or engineering for level 2 consideration. Candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in the design and construction industry is preferred. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
