The Professional Personnel Development Center for Career and Technical Education (CTE) seeks qualified individuals to teach evening courses that prepare individuals to qualify for the Pennsylvania “Vocational Instructional II” certificate. Each selected individual will teach a weekly, evening course in a hybrid format streamed live to multiple locations in conjunction with classroom-based instruction at the University Park campus. The successful candidate will: Possess advanced degree(s) in Workforce Education, Career and Technical Education, Vocational Education or closely related fields; Possess a Pennsylvania Vocational Instructional II Certificate or equivalent; Have taught or been a school counselor or an administrator in career and technology center; Have knowledge and skills suited to teach one of the following subjects: Historical and current trends and issues in career and technical issues (Fall 2019 semester), Mathematics for teachers (Fall 2019 and/or Spring 2020 semesters), Career guidance for career and technical educators (Spring 2020 semester). The Professional Personnel Development Center is affiliated with the Workforce Education and Development Program in the College of Education.
