Description

The Office of University Development is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and experienced Administrative Support Assistant to join our team. This position reports to the Executive Assistant and will serve as principal support to an Executive Director of Development in assisting with the responsibilities of managing major gift operations in nine colleges/campuses/units while also providing project support to all executives and support staff within the Office of the Senior Associate Vice President for Development. The role requires an extremely organized individual who displays a high level of professionalism and the ability to perform a wide variety of complex administrative functions in a busy team-oriented office environment. Duties include but are not limited to: managing complex calendar appointments, securing space and preparing agendas/materials for meetings requiring coordination with multiple internal/external customers, which include University and Development leadership, staff, faculty, alumni, high-level donors and the public; coordinating travel and related logistics and processing expense reports; composing/editing a variety of high-level and sensitive communications; compiling institutional data using various information systems databases; creating a wide variety of reports and PowerPoint presentations; and planning, implementing and staffing of trainings and events. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. A work history that includes fundraising knowledge and proficiency with all frequently used software (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and databases (ABI, AWA, eDDS, eSteward, GuideLION, and IBM Notes) is preferred to perform the required job responsibilities of this position.
