Description

Penn State Human Resources is seeking detail-oriented, customer-focused individuals who will develop, plan, and implement a wide variety of human resources activities across multiple human resource functions, including recruitment, hiring and retention; employee and labor relations; equal opportunity; organizational development; talent management; total rewards and compensation; and compliance monitoring for units across Penn State. These positions will counsel full-time and part-time staff and technical service employees, as well as management on policies and procedures; initiate and/or respond to inquiries such as performance concerns; analyze data and prepare reports; provide unit representation on various committees; and work with the Human Resources staff to implement new and/or continuing legal requirements or initiatives. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidates must demonstrate knowledge of broad concepts, policies, and procedures related to human resources; possess an outstanding customer service orientation; a commitment to fostering diversity and equal opportunity; superior written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail and strong organizational skills; aptitude for implementing technology-driven approaches to ongoing work processes; the ability to work independently and cooperatively with various levels of administrators and staff; and a high level of confidentiality and sound judgment.
