The College of Health and Human Development’s Finance Office is seeking two highly skilled and motivated Financial Coordinators to assist with the budgetary and financial management of general, research, unrestricted and endowment accounts. The responsibilities of these positions are to review and approve appointments in Workday, assist in the pay and effort management for the college, prepare and approve payroll transfers, and annually oversee the effort confirmation process. Ensure compliance with University and College policy and procedures; advise and support the financial operations of assigned units in Health and Human Development; verify, approve and process electronic financial documents using IBIS, ERS and eBuy+. Review and approve all graduate, fellowship and postdoctoral appointments in Workday. Manage the pay and effort function for graduate assistantships, fellows and postdocs working with the departments to verify effort and tuition are accurately distributed. Reconcile the tuition account for the college that includes matching support. Oversee gift and endowment accounts for the administrative area and coordinate with the stewardship coordinator on endowment balances and compliance. Additional duties include maintenance of IBIS, ERS, Ebuy+ and Workflow approval paths, working with units to develop charge-out rates, and providing general financial support and training across the college. One of these positions will supervise and evaluate assigned staff; resolve problems and issues, including management of staff’s assigned duties. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in the use of database applications for analysis and reporting is preferred. Knowledge of University-specific financial and human resource systems is not required; however, general and transferable knowledge relative to other financial mainframe and human capital management systems is expected. This individual must be proactive in identifying problems and solutions and possess a strong work ethic and initiative. Essential skills include accounting experience, organization, attention to detail and time management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with a strong teamwork and diversity commitment and a commitment to excellent customer service is required.
