Description

The Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute, College of Engineering, is seeking a Preservation Trades Specialist. The position is for up to 40 hours per week for a maximum of 16 weeks beginning June 1, 2019. Compensation will be paid at $15.00 per hour. The assignment will involve working with master craftsmen to maintain and restore historic buildings and will be based at the Daniel Boone Homestead in Birdsboro, PA. The assignment will also involve doing similar work at other nearby Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission sites. Various trade disciplines will be employed, including carpentry, painting, masonry, joinery, and window restoration.
