Description

The Office of Graduate Enrollment Services seeks a detailed-oriented and experienced administrative professional to serve as Records Specialist, Level 2. Graduate Enrollment Services staff regularly interact with applicants and students as well as admissions documents and student records. The Records Specialist supports the mission of the Graduate School by assisting Graduate Enrollment Coordinators in processing approved transfer credit requests, entering degree benchmark milestones, processing Integrated Undergraduate Graduate (IUG) semester reports, issuing doctoral exam requests, and communicating with graduate program offices regarding graduate student records. This position requires strong and effective communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive student information with the utmost integrity. This position is also part of the front office staff of Graduate Enrollment Services in receiving daily visitors and calls to the office as well as other duties during peak business periods throughout the semester. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with current University systems is preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills are essential. Knowledge of LionPATH and Microsoft Word and Excel helpful. Requires excellent judgment in problem solving. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic; a dedication to providing excellent customer service to students, applicants, and university staff; strong written and verbal communication skills; sound critical thinking and decision-making skills; the willingness to learn and adapt to new and evolving technologies. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with an excellent possibility of re-funding.
