The Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth Center (SAFE-T Center) at The Pennsylvania State University was launched with support from the Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime as a solution to enhance access to high quality sexual assault care in underserved communities. When a sexual assault examination is performed at one of our partner hospitals, one of SAFE-T Center’s expert nurses participates through telehealth. The expert nurse appears on a screen where she can talk to, and support, both the on-site nurse and the patient. Through our specialized digital telehealth technology, she can also see the live exam in progress, ensuring best practices, proper evidence collection and a safe, helpful environment for the patient. The SAFE-T Center is pushing the boundaries for IT/Telehealth technology in the field of sexual assault care, building custom systems responsive to the need for innovation and fiscal responsibility that will allow this unique program to exist wherever it may be needed. This position will lead and support all aspects of project management in growing the SAFE-T Center telehealth model to four additional partner hospitals throughout Pennsylvania. This includes working closely with hospitals to ensure readiness for telehealth launch, routine check-ins with site administration and site champions to ensure forward progress, and the coordination of meetings and deliverables. In addition to strategic preparations for the new hospital sites, this position will work in tandem with two other SAFE-T Center project managers to advance the SAFE-T mission. This includes efforts such as helping to manage and prepare for semi-annual statewide advisory board meetings, preparing for SAFE-T Center presentations and trainings, development of SAFE-T Center promotional materials, managing social media communications, assisting with program evaluation and data collection efforts, coordination of meetings and appointments, development of standard operating guidelines and protocols, assistance with writing of grant and research proposals, and tracking and reporting of expenses. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, ability to learn and navigate new technologies quickly, and enjoy taking on new challenges and the flexibility to be creative. Candidates who have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize effective collaboration with diverse communities are desired. This position requires the ability to tackle assignments independently while seeking appropriate feedback and guidance along the way. This position is an essential part of the core SAFE-T Center leadership team and the successful candidate will be expected to be a partner and team player in working to achieve SAFE-T Center goals.
