The Department of Educational Psychology, Counseling, and Special Education is seeking to hire a fixed-term position, Assistant Teaching Professor of Rehabilitation and Human Services for the 2019-20 academic year (Fall and Spring Semesters). The position is a one-year, 36-week appointment, with the possibility for renewal. There may also be opportunity for summer semester teaching. Full University benefits apply. The teaching position requires teaching undergraduate courses in the residential Rehabilitation and Human Services program and depending on need, in the master’s level Clinical Rehabilitation and Clinical Mental Health Program (teaching load is four courses per semester). Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in rehabilitation (rehabilitation administration, rehabilitation counseling, rehabilitation psychology) or related program area (e.g., counselor education and supervision, human services, occupational therapy); one-year professional experience serving persons with disabilities; at least one year prior teaching experience in rehabilitation and human services or related field; evidence of a commitment to excellence in higher education teaching including use of current technology, commensurate with experience; and evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds, commensurate with experience. Ph.D. at the time of start is required.
