Education Abroad is a fast-paced and student-centered environment which serves as the locus of global programs advising, policy development, program support, and records management for credit-bearing study experiences abroad. The Intern will be assigned a group of marketing related tasks by her or his primary supervisor. The Intern will gain a broad overview of EA operations and how its duties fit in to the overall global strategy of Penn State. Together with her or his supervisor, the Summer 2019 marketing and programming intern will work on projects related to Global Program’s outreach and student focused communication related to education abroad opportunities. Additional duties may include assistance with graphic design, advising, information sessions, social media, the creation of marketing materials, or any number of other administrative projects. Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position must have studied abroad at the undergraduate level and have a passion for education abroad. Furthermore, preference will be given to candidates who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to international education, higher education administration, marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design or the like. The Intern must be able to work autonomously and take accountability for integrating her/himself with the EA team. Creative approaches to project management, the ability to work with complex systems and multiple stakeholders, and a positive attitude are great assets to success in Education Abroad. This Intern position is available for summer 2019, with a possible extension to fall 2019 and spring 2020.
