Description

The Department of Architectural Engineering (AE) at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and experienced individual to join our team. The responsibilities of the position include: Graduate Support: manage and direct all duties in support of the AE graduate programs; responsible for all aspects of support and guidance for students in the AE graduate programs from initial application and enrollment through their tenure and graduation; assure department and university requirements for degree completion are met; coordinate, schedule and monitor graduate exams and committees; analyze, compile and submit reports, plan graduate student orientation and student evaluations; track and record SARI training; coordinate student visits; process graduate assistantships; and support the graduate student mentoring program. Career Fair: manage and direct all activities related to planning and execution of the AE Career Fair event. Arrange event venue, facilities, and hotels; coordinate company registrations and maintain database; process event agreements; and coordinate information sessions. Data Analyst: compile and gather data to conduct studies, create reports and presentations; develop and maintain databases and edit material; collect information on rankings and accreditation; work directly with Department Head to present reports for various surveys, reports, and grants. Education Program: provide support and assistance in the identification, development and delivery of educational programs or initiatives; support internal/external stakeholders in the implementation of routine program logistics; participate in team activities; prepare reports and program documentation, support budget activities and data collection/input activities. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication are essential. Experience with GRADS, LionPATH, WorkDay, and Microsoft Office preferred. Candidate must demonstrate professionalism with a high commitment to customer service; interpersonal/communication skills, organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage and prioritize tasks with minimal direction; and exercise discretion and judgement while managing confidential information.
